The Christmas Window deco spreads like a stale dream
The kitsch and the rich come here to spend the beer money
While the gawkers come to pray at the temple of luxury
And spend the twenty quid of minimum tithe money
Charity and the sacrifice to a waning tradition
Of commandeered collective happiness
Then whipped back in fear to their isolation pens
Glimpse of a goth beauty holding the wall
A sun ray in an ocean of drabness
