We remember the halcyon days
But not for the same reasons
We were not on the same side of the partition
The Berlin Wall was still standing in their heads
They thought that only one side had crumbled
Even if they robbed it from the people
They always thought it was their victory
Now their side of the ludicrous dream lies at their feet
They want you locked lest you laugh
They want you locked to bear the brunt of their shame
They will call you heroes if they must
They will kill you if they can
