All is quiet on a Sunday morning in the deeply Christian capital of Ghana
Once upon a time the gold-thirsty adventurers and missionaries of all feathers flocked to the West Coast of Africa to collect gold bodies and souls
They bought the land at the barrel of their guns and the Old Empire of Ghana was “baptized” anew as the Gold Coast
Thus started the plunder and the genocidal murder and deportation of entire populations in the name of God and Gold
Vestiges of this dreadful era still stand in the old town of Jamestown in Accra, pretty and nostalgic colonial souvenirs, but the bloodstreams still flow and the scars run deep below despite of the money cum bible erasers
The pie in the sky is just waiting for its total eclipse of the sun
