On the festive days of Carnival there are more Queens than kingdoms
You see no castles but the rulers have all come out wearing their crowns
The moment unique of a celebrity conquered on the streets of the Hill
Until the days and nights of celebration wind down to their end
Garbage trucks driving in tight regiments will collect the last pieces of broken reigns
And sweepers will hose down the the ephemeral history of the Emperors of Carnival days
